Bahut traders ek common mistake karte hain — RBI policy ya Budget jaise bade events se pehle options buy karte hain, sochte hain "bada move aayega, profit milega." Lekin most of the time, profit nahi, loss hota hai — chahe direction sahi ho!

Iska reason hai IV Crush. Agar aap options trade karte ho, ye concept samajhna non-negotiable hai.

"Direction sahi hone ke bawajood loss hona — ye IV crush ka classic trap hai."

IV Crush Actually Kya Hai?

IV (Implied Volatility) options premium ka wo component hai jo market ki "expected movement" represent karta hai. Bade events se pehle, uncertainty high hoti hai — isliye IV bhi high hoti hai, aur premium expensive ho jaata hai.

Jaise hi event khatam hota hai (result aa jaata hai), uncertainty gayab ho jaati hai. IV achanak crash karti hai — isliye naam "IV Crush." Premium girta hai, even agar index sahi direction mein move kare.

SCENARIO

RBI Policy Day

Pehle: Nifty 23,900 pe hai. RBI announcement ka wait hai. ATM CE premium Rs.150 hai (high IV ki wajah se).

Result aane ke baad: Nifty 23,950 chala gaya (+50 points, aapki direction sahi thi). Lekin CE premium Rs.110 ho gaya — IV crush ki wajah se. Aapne profit ki jagah loss kiya, sahi direction hone ke bawajood!

IV Crush Se Kaise Bachein

TIP 01

Event Se Pehle Buying Avoid Karo

Major events (RBI, Budget, US Fed, big earnings) se 1-2 din pehle naye options buy mat karo — especially OTM options.

TIP 02

Event Ke Baad Trade Karo

Result aane ke baad — jab IV crush ho jaaye — tab naye positions consider karo. Premium sasta milega, aur trend bhi clear hoga.

TIP 03

Selling Strategy Consider Karo

Agar experienced ho, event se pehle option selling (with proper risk management) IV crush ka fayda le sakti hai — lekin ye advanced strategy hai, beginners ke liye risky.

"Options buying mein sirf direction sahi hona kaafi nahi — timing aur IV bhi equally important hai."
