📈What is IPO GMP?
GMP, or Grey Market Premium, is the extra amount being paid for shares in the unofficial market before an IPO lists. For example, if an IPO’s upper price band is ₹100 and the GMP is ₹20, the estimated listing price is taken as ₹120.
⚠️Should you trust GMP?
GMP has no official source and it changes many times before listing. Treat it only as a sentiment indicator. Do not apply just by looking at GMP without reading the company’s financials, valuation and RHP.
🔍How to check allotment status?
On the evening of the allotment date, check your status on the registrar’s website (KFin, MUFG Intime, Bigshare, etc.) using your PAN or application number. Direct links to all registrars are in the "Allotment Status" tab above.
